A Sunday with no church

Church was cancelled this morning. It is nice to stay indoors for a day and have my husband home. We've actually had breakfast with each other and have been watching some church videos. The perks of having Tom be a ward missionary is that he has some of these videos to bless our home with.

On another note, I have to say I really like my blog's new look. I think it shows very clearly my great anticipation for Spring.

Talin made me smile last night while I was tucking him in to bed. He had noticed that his Pres. Hinckley picture was turned around (it hangs on a string on the wall). So that made me ask him, "Who is Pres. Hinckley, Talin?" His response, "He's a true Prophet of God, mom". What a smart boy.
And one more thing, do you understand the draw my two little boys would have to microscopic swords? They chase each other around with these things and have sword fights. Interesting... They had to be confiscated earlier this morning because of inflicted battle wounds. Never a dull moment with two little boys in the house!

Unfortunately, I daily deal with "the draw" of swords large, small, straight, crooked, and everything in between. It's in their boy blood, I suppose.

I love that Talin said "a true Prophet of God"...that shows more than anything that you're doing your work teaching them. Those are the moments that melt my heart. When I was having a series of bad days a while back, Aidan came to me in the middle of the rant and told me he thought we should say a prayer together. I asked him to say it, and he did. He asked for me to be happy and nice. I was grateful that he forced me to pause...they teach us so much!

forgot to say, I've always thought you had two mini-Tom's, but I have to say that Talin looks EXTREMELY like you in that top pictures. I swear that was your face shape & look at that age!

Too cute. Kids are so smart. It amazing me how much they teach us and how they are like little sponges and absorb so much information.

What a nice day to be home together.
The picture shocked me and made me realize how much I miss your boys! Talin looks so different! He's definitely changing, growing up!
