We have a severe weather warning until Sunday at noon. An ice storm is in the process with snow expected, and they are calling it a life threatening winter storm. Does that mean only if you’re traveling in it? I guess it’s a huge deal because we’ve had an ice storm today and now we are expecting a significant amount of snow on top of that with winds up to 20 to 30 MPH, making drifting and blowing snow quite a problem. Power outages are expected, so Tom and I went to the grocery store to stock up on some essentials, such as bacon, ice cream…you know, things you feel you might need with a life threatening winter storm in progress. Our Winter Storm

Wow...I thought I clicked on the wrong page, but I really like your makeover. You are a girl who needs change often. I know because I share the disease and was just thinking of creating a new blog banner.
I would have guessed your "essentials" all too easily, and it's not to hard to figure out which one belongs to who. The idea of ice storms or huge snow, especially combined with 30 MPH wind is positively frightening to me. Our weather has been beyond perfect lately...I have to savor it in expectation of heat in about two months.
Keep my little boys safe from cold, ice, snow, and tiny swords and...watch out that "bacon boy" doesn't get a tummy ache. Winter sounds as bad as summer. Have you read Faust? Hell is a frozen wasteland with winds and a Satan that is frozen in the ice. Perhaps similar to what you'll see when you venture out. Cyn
Faust seems to have summed it up perfectly. Winter in Iowa must be hell, and I thought I had endured hell all those years living through Arizona summers, yet I was wrong, hell truly is a frozen wasteland, with NO MOUNTAINS!!
There are mountains where I live... I'll hike with you in spring & fall. I'll even learn to run. Oh don't let me go on, just let me know if I even have a chance of having you guys as neighbors, too!
