Happy Birthday Grandpa Jones! I have many fond memories of Grandpa Jones from my childhood. He lovingly referred to me as "Maggie", and I was one of the few granddaughters that took a keen interest in the boy things, that made me his favorite girl granddaughter, or so I like to think. I'm sure I'll have some disputes over that. But one of my favorite memories of Grandpa Jones is him teaching me how to fly fish when I was eight years old. He must have been a very patient man to teach an eight year old how to fish, let alone fly fish! Thanks for the cherished memories, and hope you had a fabulous birthday Grandpa!

I loved, loved this. Be sure to call Grandpa to tell him to check it out. I can't believe you have pictures of that. A true treasure!
This is so cute. Hey you will have to go fly fishing with Adam sometime. He just learned how last semester. Thank goodness for those on credit hour classes.
I really enjoyed this post. I think grandparents hold a special place in any grandchilds heart. I love the pics. Thanks for sharing the special memories you have with him. I love listening to my grandparents talk about stories from back in the day.
Cute pictures! You were such a cute little girl!!!! I think Grandpa wished some of us had turned out to be girls, but we did pretty good with "boy things." (well, you better than us other girls in the fam). Remember how he used to call us "boys" - luckily Dan & Nina provided some of those! I have such fun memories of Grandpa at the cabin.
Oh, and neither you or Amy mentioned the squirrel - what was his name -- Lucky? I can't remember! All I remember is that Grandpa had him trained to come and eat out of his hand.
Oh Mandi, Grandpa would be horrified that you didn't remember 'Old Friendly'. I think there were more than one of them though.
