I wanted them to be beautiful, perfect, beyond edible. It turned into hell. I love the whole process of baking and creating fun things, but not being pregnant and on my feet doing it all day. Maybe I shouldn't have stuffed each tiny little cake, I don't know. I guess in the long run it paid off, the new mother loved her cupcakes (it was for a baby shower) and the guests enjoyed taking home leftovers to their husbands, and I'm enjoying laying on the couch eating them myself.

They look amazing! The frosting is like out of a magazine. Enjoy some cupcake time with your feet up!
I can't believe how many cupcakes you made. They look great!
I made some tonight because I was craving sugar, but they are SO not pretty like yours.
They are gorgeous, Megs! But I so know what you mean about the *hell* side of such a project.
FYI...I was looking through my Wilton book (again..) and saw that they have a recipe for stabilized whipping cream frosting...I think you add either color flow or meringue powder or something I don't remember right now. But good to know for next time, I guess!
WOW, I miss desserts by my Meg... When are you coming home??? Hope you are well love you amazing cupcakes..... Lots of frosting your favorite kind!!
You Hendrix girls are amazing! My cupcakes are either store bought, or a cake mix and store bought frosting that looks awful when I try to put it on with my knife. I am now a good froster. Theses look amazing and delicious! At least they kept you busy for a while!
Holy Cupcakes! You weren't kidding when you said you'd made a lot! You really went all out and I'm sure those husbands are all loving you now! I don't know if I got the same genes as you and Amy for doing amazing things like that so luckily I live near her to use her talents to my advantage =)
