Well we made it. The first time being completely alone for the Christmas season, and it certainly wasn't a bad thing. Here's the recounting of events, nothing overly exciting, just our little family.

Christmas Eve: The decorating of the gingerbread house. They make it so easy for you to do, but with a four and five year old and twenty sticky fingers jamming candy in your face, when you're just trying to make a perfect house...impossible. So we gave up early in the game, and this was the outcome.

Posing with the finished masterpiece. Two very proud boys to leave their house for Santa to eat that night.

Christmas morning. It will always have that magical feeling. Presents waiting to be torn into.

The new giraffe tent awaiting the slumber party to be had inside of it later that evening.

Two awestruck boys, in an unfortunately blurry picture. But you can see the thrill on their faces as they see the toys that Santa has brought them.
Talin put this on first thing, so all of his pictures are of him as a Ninja. Love the dress up clothes.

Collin goes for the action figures first, especially if they're sporting a weapon of some sort.

The amazement of a slinky,
especially the
excitement of being a first time slinky owner, with amazing stairs throughout the house to slink down.

First he had the Ninja outfit on, then he was naked. And apparently my chubby baby is far from chubby or being a baby these days.
Talin was happy to buy his dad his favorite treat for a Christmas gift, and Tom was more than happy to
receive it.

A lot of the morning was spent on the racetrack. Tom had a set identical to this one when he was a kid, so he was thrilled to sit down with them and cruise all morning.

Look closely and you'll notice the missing tooth. It came out Sunday afternoon. And the one next to it is pretty loose and expected to come out soon. Two front teeth missing, he looks adorable, although it doesn't help with the speech!

Moon sand, or should I call it
satan sand?

A good hour of fun, and then it
disappeared for FOREVER. Nobody has asked about it yet, thank goodness!

End of the day. Yeah, I wore the same outfit two days in a row. What can I say, it was Christmas, and I certainly wasn't going anywhere!
And I'm playing Yahtzee, Tom got it for a family gift, but it's
more my gift, since I can sit and play by myself for hours on end.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas as well, we missed all of our family this year!!

Megan,
Love the tent it is super cute! I understand the wearing of an outfit a couple days in a row... I have like 3 that I can wear right now that are comfortable. My big question is where is the belly shot?
Satan Sand!!! Did you ever nail that! My girls finally got around to playing with their moon sand today and it was not pretty. Luckily it's easy to sweep up though. I love the tent too. And Talin looks cute without a tooth -- oh, he's growing up. I agree with Rachel that I want a belly shot. You definitely didn't look pregnant on the couch there.
OK, first - I love the tent. So darling! Where did you find it? SEcond - you hardly look pregnant! What's up with that? And what's up with you complaining about gaining "so much" weight? You look fantastic, chica! Third - I'm glad I nixed the moon sand "want"!
The satan sand description is cracking me up!
Cute Christmas pics!
I let Bethany play with the moon sand and I don't care if it gets on the floor because the sooner it is swept up and gone in the garbage the sooner I don't have to clean it up. Oh, and Colten always gets to play with her. He helps hurry the process along. I also have to agree about the belly shot. You really aren't looking a day anywhere near 30 weeks.
Love the tent and ninja outfit!! I think that moon sand looks awful too. Abby just asked if she can get it when she turns 5. Luckily that isn't until October!
Oh, my! That tent is fabulous. Emerson is such a giraffe fanatic, she would be in heaven with that.
We made that same gingerbread house kit. Our frosting was so thick that it did not work out so well.
I hate Play-Doh, so I'm sure I would feel the same way about Satan Sand.
I love the tent. It looks like you guys had a fun Christmas!
