Monday Thoughts.

So I had a few random things to talk about, so I thought I'd number them since it makes no kind of sense to make it into cohesive paragraphs.

1. On Saturday we loaded up the kids and drove to Omaha, NB to the Winter Quarters Temple. Our ward does a temple trip every quarter, and people take turns watching all the kids at the stake center in Omaha, while the adults do a session. It was soooo nice to go to the temple and escape the world for a bit. I wish we could attend more often. And it was nice to be with Tom for the two hour drive there and back, we don't get enough time to just talk. I realize how much I miss that!

2. Yesterday Tom got to sing a solo in church. I think I was more nervous than he was. The entire Elders Quorum sang "Abide With Me", and he started them off by singing the first verse alone. I thought he did great, but he was not pleased and I don't think he'll be doing another solo anytime soon. I wish he felt better about his performance, but I think he just felt out of practice, he hasn't really sung in years. I was proud of him though.

3. I was kind of shocked that only a handful of people noticed I had dyed my hair this past weekend. I expected more reactions, but no. I mean come on people, I was like California blond last week and now my hair is dark dark! Just a little surprised. But maybe I shouldn't be, cause loads of people have just now been coming up to me and saying things like, "oh my gosh, I can't believe your pregnant, and so far along!". Um hello, I didn't start taking up drinking beer, it's been a baby that has enlarged my mid-section. Maybe I blend into the background more than I thought, interesting...

4. So I think I just flashed some roofers. Yeah, full frontal flashing. You see we have a window in our bathroom on the second floor, and you can't see into it unless your standing in our backyard or on the roof of the neighbor that lives behind us. So apparently today they are re roofing and I failed to notice before stripping down and stepping in front of the window to get into the shower. I think maybe I should take more precautions and perhaps sew some curtains. Although being an exhibitionist felt kind of liberating, totally joking for anyone who is gasping right now.

5. I've been super super pumped about Christmas, which is very shocking considering our lack of funding for the Holidays. But I've become very innovative and realized that with a little work and extra time you can find awesome deals, and even the dollar store has opened up a new world to me. Pretty humbling.

And I think that's it for the rambling, for right now at least.

Oops, sorry. Not #5. #4. #4 is cracking me up.

#5 was not funny, but I've totally been there! Glad you are excited. I haven't reached that point, yet, more of an "aaaaaah!" I'm hoping the excitement kicks in soon. :)

#4 is really funny. I think after that I would inspect my back yard and other roofs before I even do anything in the bathroom.

Knowing how well Tom can sing made me wish I was there for #2. It also make me a little teary, but a lot of things do these days.

I somehow did not know that Tom sings. I may have to call in for a telephone solo show....1-800-Tom. Anyhow....I should be getting to bed. I'm laughing about your frontal flashing. Lucky workers.

I would hope that Tom does NOT give up on this talent. I am sure he did a GREAT job don't be to hard on yourself setting the example for the boys to follow in your footsteps remember we lead by example!

How nice to get to the temple and then to go and flash people! Wow, Megan - busy week! I was worried about that window when I first showered in your bathroom, but then got over it - if you're a night showerer (is that a word?) then you might invest in curtains though.

I think people just know that you are constantly changing so it's no surprise that you changed your hair. Remember that girl saying you change all the time when I went to church with you? It's just normal to them now. Sorry, the shock of your changing hair-color has worn off.

Isn't it funny how we've been feeling huge for so long and just now are people starting to be brave enough to ask if I'm expecting! How funny.

I just want to say I love the dark hair! I keep going darker and darker. I just got it done and want it more dark! I don't know why I have this obsession with going dark! Anyways just wanted to say way to be daring and it looks great!
