Caleb's Hidden Talent

Pepsi withdrawals have had my head fiercely aching the past four days. I'm trying to be strong. Here's my attempt at distraction.

I wanted to show off my babies incredible ability with taking down cup stacking.
And I even have an embarrassing/humiliating story to go along with it.

Mandi is constantly telling me that my life experiences are awkward, and I'd have to agree with her.

So the week we got back from Utah I had a meeting with a speech teacher from the Arizona School of Deaf and Blind. She came to the house and we spent the next hour and half discussing Caleb's strengths and weakness his produced vowels and consonants. Stimulating.

One of the million questions she asked me was if Caleb could stack blocks, at least six on top of one another.

I all of a sudden chirped up and said, "Even better, you have to watch this, it's amazing!".

So I run get my camera and find the video of Caleb's awesome talent.

I play it for her.

She watches.

It's over.

And she says.....nothing.

So awkward.

I felt ashamed at my ridiculously founded pride, so I quickly say, "AND he can stack six blocks on top of each other."

We went on to the next question with never a comment about my child's super talent from the speech teacher.

She must not have kids.
