Here I am this evening, and it’s once again been a long day, working on the house and what not. Tom is still at the house painting, but as the mother I was designated to take the children home to ensure the 7:30 bedtime was met, especially since it’s a school night.
Collin has this mischievous side to him; he always sneaks toys into bed and thinks I don’t know. I always know I just don’t always choose to have that fight every night, so sometimes I pretend I don’t notice.
Well after tucking them in I hear fighting over a toy. He has taken to bed a toy pair of tweezers that light up when pressed together. Thank you JoDee.
I of course take the tweezers away and insist they go to sleep immediately. A few minutes and lots of crying later, Collin comes in and has this to say:
“You’re breaking my heart mom”.
Ouch.

you have TWO extraordinarily dramatic little boys. So funny! That cracks me up.
That is funny. Bethany and Colten are getting to where they play when it is bed time. Last night was the first night of just listening to them through the monitor and laugh.
I love how they sincerely believe these statments will make you change your mind. Oh the drama! I'm glad it's not just girls who have a flair for that.
Well, at least it's comforting to know that his broken heart will mend by morning and you'll be number one once again. What funny things kids say!
How painful! I hope his heart mends soon. :)
Aw.. kids are so smart and know how to get to your soft side don't they?
