Yes, that is tape around his hand.
He taped the spoon into Talin's hand.
It worked.
And I have a dilemma, Talin needs a haircut.
Every time I bring it up, these big crocodile tears well up in his eyes and he starts begging me to let his hair grow out.
Please comment.
I'm taking votes.
Keep the long hair that wisps into his eyes, or cut it.
Talin would appreciate the long haired votes.
Tom would appreciate the buzz cut.

He's so cute either way, but if I had to pick, I like the longer hair better.
These issues get to my core. My answer would be to manipulate Talin into wanting to cut his hair Because he's an autonomous being and should have control over some aspects of his being/appearance. I think it's a disservice to kids to totally disregard their opinions on non-moral issues. But I'm a huge manipulator (as if you didn't know!). Possible arguments I'd use with my own - AZ summer heat, easier to swim, your hair will have to be short as a missionary.
Amy stole the words right out of my mouth. Thank goodness Colten loves his hair buzzed.
perm it!!! it'll be out of his face, but not short. just kidding!
Maybe you can compromise. He can have it sort of long but not in his eyes. You know..not a buzz but not shaggy. I personally do not like long hair on boys.
Personaly, I am more concerned about the tape on the hand. SO FUNNY!!! Way to go, Tom! You told us Tom and Tal's opinion on the hair. I'm curious, what's yours? 'Cause that makes a difference on what you say,do, etc.
Hey Megan Lisa gave me your blog address, hope you don't mind. I can't believe how much your kids have grown!! And Caleb is super cute. I'm glad things are getting better with him, I can only imagine how stressful it is. Are you going to be in DSM on the 22nd? I have a feeling we might miss you. Good luck in AZ.
Never had this issue with my boys but hair cut was NOT a NON optional item you had to look nice for church on Sunday.... Why does he NOT want you cutting his hair maybe take him to a barber to have it done since he is the oldest:) I guess Talin does NOT use milk right like his mother????? I hope you have a safe trip back to Mesa, I am sure this week will be an emotional one my love is with you.
NO!!! Don't cut the boy's hair. Let him have a choice for summer with the knowledge that when it comes to school Mom has the authority to cut.
Don't you worry your pretty little head, one day in this blasted heat and he'll be BEGGING you to chop it ALL off!!!
Tom is hilarious! I am going to have to try that with Michael. Looked like it worked! So hair...I would trim it a little maybe, but I would just leave it long. I just buzzed Michaels hair and I wish I would have left it long. I think little boys are so cute with longer hair.
