So, we have our baby back! He looks absolutely thrilled to be alive. I guess he wasn't very happy so they gave him some drugs to calm him down and put him to sleep. In case you were wondering, that is a thermometer on his forehead. Just in case anyone was wondering what his temperature was. I guess there is problems with post-op patients getting too cold.
I personally think that this is the most precious boy in the world.
They only ended up making two incisions. One was in his belly button where you see the red, and the other was, obviously, where the big tube is coming out. I guess that we will get accustomed to that.
We will continue to keep you posted on the upcoming situations.

I'm very grateful all went well and now feeding will be easier. I must say that in that first picture, his legs are looking a little chunky, or is that trick photography?
I marvel how it looks just like what Chad came home with you can do this.... I am amazed with how clean it all looks... You are an amazing mom I can only imagine how this must feel dealing with Caleb I so remember how I felt when Chad was so sick and that was NOTHING to this experience. You look wonderful......
Will you be in the hospital until they make sure the feeds are going OK? I'm glad everything went so well. Caleb is such a trooper! What a darling little guy.
I love that boy but that tube looks daunting. It's rather large. I have a lot of questions but I'll call. I'm so happy that you made it through this first test with such fortitude. You are my hero.
WOO HOO! we are so happy that everything went well!
take care!
What a day! I'm glad to hear that things went well--all the best with the recovery and more adjustments.
I've been thinking about you guys today. I'm so glad everything is going well. He's such a cute boy -- that tube does look awfully big, but I'm sure that it will be wonderful to have the feeding issues be easier.
I glad everything went well. You will be in my thoughts.
I'm so glad everything is going well, Megs. We're still praying for you all!
