I want my body back.

There I am, early one morning trying to force myself out of bed when the boys come into my room. Of course my pajamas consist of undergarments only, and I've never invested in maternity ones, so they only cover the essentials while the rest of me hangs out in this pregnant state. And that morning I happened to have the covers off of me exposing the frightfulness of my figure these days.

So there are my two little boys standing by my bed, when Talin points to my hip and says, "what's that mom?"

Hello? Don't they know what a hip is? "That's my hip, Tal". Is the obvious response.

Collin immediately pipes in. "That's a big hip mom."

Yes it is. Yes it is.

Isn't that license to stay in bed for the rest of the day?

I'm always up for a reason to not have to get out of bed! I'm thrilled to know big hips qualifies, because mine certainly fit the bill.

Little kids can be so brutal. I can hardly wait until Ryley voices more of her opinions.

So what if my body still looks prego after 5 months? Does that mean I can't stay in bed and I should wake up and exercise?

I love the detached nature of the: "that's a big hip". One of my favorite lines ever, really.

Hee! Hee! Hee! Yes, let's just stay in bed forever. I have been bonking my girls on the head a lot lately with the belly and it's kind of funny -- why are they always just at your feet???? Have fun with madre!
