Randomness

I have a few things to mention right now and they're random, so I'll number them.

1. Collin is doing better, the rash looks the same if not worse, but has been diagnosed as poison oak. We are lotioning every two hours with calamine and hoping the redness and bumps and all around crustiness goes away by Monday for his first day of preschool.

2. Talin asked me loudly in WalMart when dad was going to put a baby in my tummy. I kind of groaned and started wishing that five year olds could talk in a voice that was anything but yelling with each statement. Is that smirks I see from fellow shoppers or my imagination? Tom would say it's my imagination, everything is when I ask him.

3. I had the best compliment in the world today. Someone thought I was eighteen years old. Isn't that fabulous? Eighteen! I'm going to hang onto that for awhile, especially the surprised face when I told her I was really twenty-seven. This is a treasured moment and I can't stop smiling when I think about it. Eighteen... :)

4. My cousin Rachel started a blog and I'm really excited about that. She has made it private, so email her if you want to read it. I hope she doesn't care that I'm announcing this, but I'm really thrilled to read about her everyday.

I love being complimented on my age. When I was younger I couldn't wait to look older and now that I am older I want to look younger. ;)

I used to have people tell me I looked younger, but not lately - my age must be showing! That's funny about Talin, kids always say the most embarrassing things out loud in public! And I am totally excited about Rachel's blog too.

18!?! I haven't looked 18 since I was 16. Damn it.

I'm super excited about Rachel's blog, as well. She lives fairly close, but it definitely doesn't mean we see each other. Oh the life!

18? That is funny. When I was 25, I was once mistaken for being 14, and I didn't feel it was such a compliment at the time. I was at the library in Chicago trying to get a library card and they kept insisting I needed my mother's permission. Time for a makeover, I thought! People don't do that much any more so my age must be showing a bit more. And, I guess I'd rather be 33 than 14, so I'm fine with it!
