My Garden

It's a little late in the year, but Tom and I decided to plant a garden in the front yard. I think it's absolutley lovely. Next year in the spring it will be vegetables in the backyard. Tomatos, strawberries, carrots, squash, herbs...it'll be great.

There is something magical to me when things are planted and just continue to grow and flourish. I just found plums on our plum tree - first time in four years. That's magic!

Don't forget to add the hydrangeas! Did your boys love doing this? Aidan is a big time gardening fan - thanks to Grandma Hulsey!

Oh, I've been thinking about planting things lately. . . although this isn't the time -- maybe when it cools off a little. I'm thinking of putting rose bushes in the front. I'm sure anything you plant will thrive and be gorgeous and I'm sure it's very satisfying to make a garden from veggies you grew yourself!

Megan, I can see that you have replaced me with flowers! Actually, I'm glad your working on your planting skills because it will help prepare you for next year's veggie garden. Be sure and plant some from the "Veggie Tales" for Talin. Cyndee

I love your garden. I am always so proud of myself when I can get something to grow. As long as it is outside, I can keep it alive. Potted plants die upon entering my house.
